Instagram and Pinterest for a beauty salon

Where a treatment is looked at, saved, then booked. Instagram, Google, Pinterest — the three we lead with for an institute. Not TikTok, not a second Facebook job.

An institute does not need a channel plan. It needs to know where she looks at a care, where she saves it for later, and where a stranger still types “facial” plus the town. For us that is three places, in this order: Instagram, Google, Pinterest. We also publish to Facebook. We do not tell a beauty salon that Facebook is where the diary starts.

This is the opposite of a hair salon’s third network, on purpose. Hair books from a face on a grid and a Saturday on Maps. Beauty is saved — a mood, a voucher, a winter hands hour — and Pinterest is where that save still lives.

Screenshot pending: publishing

Run pnpm screens with the app's local stack up to capture it. The Artifluence calendar for a beauty salon.

One week. The networks the business page actually lists.

Instagram is the habit

She already scrolls treatments. Your cabin, your hands, a result with consent live there if they ever leave the phone. A last-minute facial in Stories reaches the people who already lie on the table. That is why the business page leads with Instagram.

It is still not a listing. Hours, the address, the booking link have to be true in the bio and on Maps. Name, address and phone still have to match. A beautiful grid with a closed Saturday on Google is how she books the spa.

Stories and Reels we can publish where the product does. We do not sell TikTok. Putting it on a logo wall would be selling something you cannot have.

A private account is not a shop window. If the grid is locked, the stranger who saved a pin never sees the cabin. If the booking link in the bio is six dead pages, she will not hunt. One link that finishes — the same one as on the listing — is enough. Consent still applies: a body that said yes to the grid has not automatically said yes to a pin that lives for years.

Google is the stranger who wants the care now

“Facial” plus a town. “Manicure Saturday”. Your name. A listing that can be booked. Posts that are not filler — a photograph, two sentences, a button. See Google posts in 2026. Reviews that are answered. This is the page she opens when she does not follow you. The networks for a local shop piece says the same thing in general; here it is sharper: if she has never heard of you and she wants a treatment this week, it is this.

Local ranking is still relevance, distance, prominence. Instagram likes do not replace a complete profile. A Pinterest pin does not hide a missing service.

A listing post is seen by people who do not follow you. They typed a treatment. If there is a photograph from this cabin and a button, they have something to do. If there is a marble slab from last spring, they have a dead listing. Google posts archive after six months unless they have dates.

Pinterest is the save

A florist already knows this: the bouquet is pinned weeks before the date. An institute is closer to that than to a haircut. A gift voucher, a winter care, a bridal trial — she saves it. We publish to Pinterest because the product can, and because the business page lists it. We do not pretend a board of other people’s marble is a book of appointments. Your cabin, your card, your dates.

Facebook we will keep alive if the neighbourhood is still there. LinkedIn as a “must” for an institute is a consultant’s slide. A YouTube channel of protocols you will not edit is the same slide.

This is not the hair-salon order. Hair leads Instagram, Google, Facebook. Beauty leads Instagram, Google, Pinterest, because a care is saved before it is booked. We do not swap them to look complete.

One calendar, not three logins

You photograph once. Artifluence writes, formats, sends where you said. That is publishing, not a mood-board factory. The order on the business page is the order we recommend you look at first. If a network is not in the four, it is not on the calendar.

A voucher can be a pin she saves in November and a listing offer with dates. It is the same card. It is not two jobs if the product carries both. The hard part is the sentence, not the login. If Pinterest is empty and Instagram is full, start with one pin of your own cabin, not a board of marble. If the listing is the ghost, start there. The empty channel is the one that is lying — the one she will trust last. Fill the listing before you decorate a fourth grid.

Artifluence publishes to the four it actually has. The beauty salons page leads with Instagram, Google, Pinterest. One calendar. You approve.

Sarah Colin’s week is on that page because she said it. We do not reprint it here to look like a case study.
